Founder- Lyssa Anderton

Welcome to Eternal Sunsets. My name is Lyssa Anderton, and I founded this business inspired by a deeply personal experience.

When my Noni became ill and entered hospice care, I had the honor of caring for her during those precious final moments. My Noni was warm, funny, and endlessly loving — the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. Planning her celebration of life was my way of honoring who she truly was: someone who lived with so much heart.

That journey led me to begin volunteering with hospice, where I discovered a true calling. Being present with patients and their families, witnessing the immense love they shared, and learning about the incredible lives they lived filled me with gratitude and purpose. I felt privileged to walk alongside them during their final months, sharing in their stories and memories.

It was through this experience that I came to understand how vital it is to celebrate the lives of our loved ones — not only to honor them, but to support one another through grief. That understanding inspired me to create Eternal Sunsets, a business devoted to helping families plan meaningful, personalized celebrations of life.

I am a certified death doula through NELDA and currently studying Psychology, with plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Thanatology and Bereavement. This education allows me to better support families through loss and guide them in celebrating the lives of their loved ones with heart and intention.

Understanding who my Noni was — and creating space to honor her life — helped me navigate my own grief. I believe in the healing power of storytelling, remembrance, and community.

At Eternal Sunsets, I am committed to making these moments as comforting and memorable as possible. We proudly serve individuals and families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life, creating inclusive, compassionate spaces where every story is honored with love, grace, and dignity. Because just as every sunset tells a story, every life holds one worth remembering.
